This morning started off on the wrong foot when both boys were up before 7am. We all had breakfast together which was pleasant enough and then all hell broke loose. R was being super crabby so I sent him back up to his room to hang out in his bed and "rest". I was very surprised when I went up to check on him 10 minutes later and he was fast asleep snuggled under his covers. He got two more hours of sleep in before C woke him up. It was definitely rest that was needed but unfortunately it didn't seem to be enough. Its really taking these boys a LONG time to recover from the wedding weekend activities. Hopefully we only have to struggle through a few more days of this because it is getting old really fast!
In a rare moment of peace the boys got out some old cell phones we keep in the end table drawer and started playing around with them. First R pretended his was a camera and took a picture of me taking a picture of him.
Then C had a conversation with daddy. Its always daddy no matter how many times he picks up the phone.
Then back to picture taking
Then we finished up by "texting daddy an email". I have been having R email his father on the nights he doesn't make it home for bed time. R types it out himself which is always an interesting process but he does a pretty good job for a 3 yr old.
Lets keep our fingers crossed for a better day tomorrow.
