Day 16- The Big Day

Finally, finally, finally, the big day was here- R's birthday!  He has been waiting for this day since the summer and has been bouncing off the walls all week.  I spent all night and morning finishing up decorations and cupcakes for a small family party at the house today.  R woke up this morning with a huge smile on his face and had a blast all day long. He got so many unbelievable presents. He is a VERY lucky 3 year old.  He got new duplos, movies, a sled, swimming lessons and a portable dvd player.  Thanks to Michael's shopping skills he now has a way nicer ipod than I have.  Its good to be R.

Cake time.  R blew out his candles and then immediately leaned over and took a bite right out of the cake.  I guess the anticipation was just a little too much to take.

Happy birthday R! You are the funniest, sweetest, weirdest little person I know. You love music, giraffes, Dunkin' Donuts, Toy Story, the color green and pizza.  You know your colors, letters and sounds, numbers and how to spell and write your own name.  You have an incredible memory and know the words to almost as many songs as I do. You have made our lives a million times more amazing and meaningful.  I could not picture my life without you.  We have had a blast these past 3 years and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
