Okay, so this is going to seem really strange to those of you that know me in real life. Pretty much every weekend during Nascar season my family and Michael's family gets together to watch the race (weird right??). The guys all joined a Nascar pool so there is cheering and complaining depending on how their driver is doing that race. We order food or cook, hang out and the kids run around and play with their aunts and uncles and grandparents. I think its really just an excuse to get together and eat but whatever. My dad and Michael's stepfather are the biggest race fans. The rest of us find something else to do until the last few laps. I usually watch zero of the race but I have a good time hanging out with the family.
Here are the race fans (don't they look excited lol)
Notice how the rest of the room is empty? I think these are the only two people that I know that could sit through 5 hours of cars going around in circles.
Michael did my brother's taxes for him while all the excitement in the other room was going on. I wonder which was more entertaining: the race or doing taxes? Close call.
Here are my little guys after we got home. They were so happy to have control of the TV and the remotes again. Bug's Life was on about 30 seconds after we walked in the door. I guess they're not race fans either!
